T24/24 Wedge Brake Chamber
This product is a wedge-type brake chamber. Unlike a diaphragm-type chamber, which transmits force directly through a rubber diaphragm, the wedge structure uses an internal wedge mechanism to convert air pressure thrust into lateral movement of a wedge block, which then drives the brake shoes apart to apply braking. This gives it a longer overall force-transmission path and a slender, cylindrical shape, and it is commonly found on axle platforms that use wedge-type brake systems.
